Syncrude is proud to partner once again with the Wood Buffalo Food Bank for the annual Syncrude Food Bank Drive on December 2, 3 and 4, 2016.

More than 100 Syncrude employees, plus community volunteers, will be stationed at grocery stores across Fort McMurray, as well as Wal-Mart, on Friday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., collecting food and monetary donations. H. Wilson Industries trucks will also be on site to store the donations.
The Food Bank says its programs fed
17,027
individuals during the last fiscal year, a 94 per cent increase over the number of people served the previous fiscal year.
The association also reports that this event accounts for 30 per cent of its annual food stock and more than 30 per cent of its annual operating budget and is vital to the success of our programs.
The goal for 2016 is to raise $75,000 and 75,000 pounds of food in addition to money raised during Corporate Challenge, which began with a $200,000 donation from Syncrude on December 1.
