Syncrude is proud to team-up with the Wood Buffalo Regional Library (WBRL) to promote literacy and bring an inspiring and thought provoking speaker to our region, through the new Centre Stage Speaker Series.
Our region will welcome internationally renowned spoken word artist Shane Koyczan to Keyano Theatre on June 1, 2016.
Shane burst onto the global stage when he performed at the Vancouver Winter Olympics Opening Ceremonies in 2010. The world took further notice after Shane’s influential anti-bullying ‘To This Day Project’ video went viral in 2013. It was released to support national Anti-bullying day. To date, the video has received more than 18 million views on YouTube.

Shane has also presented at Ted Talks, which led him to collaborate with TED-ED to create a classroom tool that provides teachers a way to discuss anti-bullying with students.
Tickets will go on sale for Shane Koyczan on April 20 at the Keyano Theatre Box Office or online at www.keyano.ca/theatre. To learn more visit http://wbrl.ca/blog/wbrl-centre-stage
