Some of the world’s top men’s curlers will face off in Fort McMurray as the Grand Slam of Curling returns with the Syncrude Elite 10 March 19-22 at MacDonald Island Park.

The Syncrude Elite 10 will be broadcast nationally on Sportsnet and CBC, highlighting the passionate people, natural beauty and spectacular facilities found in and around Fort McMurray.
The 10 teams invited to compete in the Syncrude Elite 10 are based on the World Curling Tour’s year-to-date Order of Merit list. They include Team Brad Jacobs, who captured gold at the 2014 Sochi Olympics, 2006 Olympic gold medalist Brad Gushue and Glenn Howard, who returns with a new team looking to repeat his Grand Slam success in Fort McMurray.
In addition to the curling, the Syncrude Elite 10 will feature activities for families and fans including Community Day on Saturday, March 21, live entertainment at the Grand Slam Social House, athlete autograph sessions, giveaways and sponsor booths. The Syncrude Elite 10 is part of the 2015 showcase of major sporting events planned for Fort McMurray and the Wood Buffalo region.
