Syncrude launches Trail Blazer App in time for Halloween

Just in time for Halloween treats, Syncrude Canada Ltd. has launched a free game on the Apple store called Trail Blazer.

The game is a fun and challenging way for children of all ages to learn about the community in which Syncrude operates. While taking the journey, participants learn simple facts about Syncrude’s operation and reclamation efforts as well as programs that are assisting the community. Residents gave Trail Blazer a positive review when Syncrude previewed the game at the Spring Trade show in Fort McMurray this year.

“It is lots of fun and it is really cool to see places like Vista Ridge in the game,” said Kaylee Welsh, the daughter of a Syncrude employee.

Three distinct high-octane games take users to real life Fort McMurray landmarks – like the Syncrude-sponsored Vista Ridge Bison Chair or Gateway Hill, where Syncrude has built a 4.5 km network of interpretive trails on reclaimed land.

Use the search function in Apple Store to find “Syncrude’s Trail Blazer”. Users can play alone or compete with players across Canada through Game Center.
